about

Crushed is essentially an anthem for the underdog who wants to overcome the giants of enterprise and the lust for power. A lot of the lyrics were written by Phil with small additions made by Stuart here and there. Like most of our songs the meaning of ‘Crushed’ is open for interpretation but my take on it would be that it paints the picture of a world in disarray, buckled under the stress of corporation and greed. The lyrics are constantly questioning: Do I belong here? Am I part of the solution or the problem? I hate the system but can society properly function without rules and leaders? Whatever you take from ‘Crushed’ all we ask is that when you listen to it, you close your eyes and imagine a post-apocalyptic wasteland…that would make us happy!

lyrics

Did you paint these lights?
Did you watch them glow?
Among the wasteland
Cold by the fire but a warm heart grows
What does it take to feel at all?
Your heart or your soul?
To give you the strength to know now
Where to find a place to belong
Under the darkness of lust and greed
You’ve spent every life that wasn’t yours to bleed
The darkness calls to me
This world’s had enough
Motherfuckers be crushed

Hit The B Button! Belfast, UK

A venomous four piece who thrive on ripping apart the conventional and frankensteining it back together to create monstrous Alt Rock magic.

Their twisted blend of face melting riffs and pop sensibilities have been compared to the likes of Biffy Clyro and Jimmy Eat World. With Ledgerwood’s vocals drawing comparisons to Dryden Mitchell of Alien Ant Farm or Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria.
